Introduction to Graphic Design
Course Description:
This introductory course provides students with a comprehensive overview of the principles and practices of graphic design. Through a combination of lectures, demonstrations, and hands-on projects, students will develop a strong foundation in design theory and techniques. Topics covered include typography, layout, color theory, image manipulation, and composition.
In this course, students learn to use industry-standard software such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign to create digital artwork and design layouts. Emphasis is placed on developing both technical skills and creative problem-solving abilities. Through a series of projects, students do explore various aspects of graphic design, including branding, advertising, editorial design, and digital media.
By the end of the training, students are expected to gain practical experience in creating professional-quality designs and will have developed a portfolio showcasing their work. This course serves as a prerequisite for more advanced courses in graphic design and provides a solid foundation for pursuing a career in the field.
